Here’s the best of the post-Thanksgiving recipes. Excuse the delay, but I was in Canton, Texas, and only had dial-up access.

    Ingredients

  • -Leftover Turkey
  • Leftover Stuffing
  • 4 oz. Chicken Broth
  • 1 pkg. of Ramen (For best results, use Chicken)
  • Any Oil

Start by pouring some oil onto the pan. Fry up your stuffing and leftover turkey for about a 2-4 minutes. Next, set the fried stuff aside, and boil your ramen, saving the flavor packet for a bit later. Then, add more oil to the pan and fry your ramen (the stuffing/turkey should not be in the pan at this time). After about a minute, you should put in your flavor packet. Next, put the turkey-stuffing back in. Gradually pour in chicken broth. Mix and serve.

I have just made the perfect recipe. I don’t know how I did it but I made a restraunt quality dish. ok, ok, here it is.

    Ingredients

  • 1 can of turkey gravy, about a cup
  • 1 package of beef noodles
  • salt, pepper, and olive oil
  • water
  • 3 veggies, (I used half green pepper, cup of broccoli and about eight mini carrots)
  • 1 tomato.
  • Cook the noodles in water in the microwave for 1.5 minutes, so that they arn’t soggy, but firm and mallible. Drain. In a sauce pan cook the veggies, minus the tomato. Add some olive oil to coat. Start the heat and when it is really hot add a cup of water, salt, and pepper. let the veggies cook down and when there is a little water left in the bottom of the pan, add the beef seasoning. When that is mixed in, add a can of turkey gravy, bring to a simmer. Serve this mixture over the noodles and chopped up tomato. Can feed two people or one. Pictured is half of the dish.

  • 2 packs chili flavored ramen noodles (if you can still find them anywhere)
  • 1/2 pound ground turkey or beef

  • 1 C. shredded cheddar

Cook noodles according to package directions. Brown meat in a sauce pan. Drain excess liquid from meat, then add the kidney beans and tomatoes. Heat till warm. Mix everything together. Top with shredded cheese. This makes for hearty, flavorful chili that\’s inexpensive. I make a box of cornbread to go with it, but that\’s purely optional!!

Recipes from jail are always a favorite here…

Ingredients

  • Chicken flavored Ramen (keep the packet… you need it)
  • Cheddar Cheese (as much as you want in any style)
  • Some type of lunch meat (preferably bologna or turkey… bacon is good too)
  • Barbecue Potato Chips (any kind will work but I like these best)
  • Honey
  • Miracle Whip (sorry regular mayo wont work for this!)

Cook the ramen as you normally would. Drain all of the water and quickly put into bowl. Add as much Miracle Whip as you want. Add the cheese while the ramen is still warm. Crush up the chips and toss those in. Then add in your meat (sliced up of course) then put some honey on top. Sprinkle your chicken packet in and mix it up good but don\’t put too much honey in… it’s sweet already. My uncle who served a year gave me this recipe and it’s AMAZING!

Spicy Post-Thanksgiving Delight

Ingredients

  • 4-5 oz leftover turkey
  • 1 pack Nong-Shim Shin Ramen (Hot & Spicy)
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Curry powder (the hotter, the better)

Cook ramen, adding curry powder along with spice packet. While ramen is cooking, microwave turkey for 45 seconds. (I’m assuming it’s already cooked and packed in tupperware in the fridge.) Add turkey just before ramen is finished cooking. VERY filling, relatively tasty, and thriftier than a pile of goodwill stores.

Review: Ichiban Kitsune

Saturday, November 5th, 2005

Last night, I realized that I didnt have really anything to eat, so I figured I would cook up some more ramen noodles for dinner (along with a turkey sandwich). I pulled the Sapporo Ichiban Kitsune ramen out of the closet and started cooking.

This ramen had nice thick noodles and a bean curd patty-thing. The bean curd was sweet, but I didnt like the taste all that much. The noodles had a great texture, but I wasnt a huge fan of the broth. Oh well, I was hungry so I ate it anyway.

I usually like everything made by Sapporo Ichiban, but this one was not my favorite.

Price is $0.79 at NoodleSon.

Ramen Cordon Bleu

    Ingredients:

  • 1 leftover chicken breast
  • 2 pkgs. ramen noodles
  • 3-4 slices turkey pastrami, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 jar alfredo sauce
  • Green olives optional as garnish

Boil ramen noodles (save the flavor packet) & drain off water. In a bowl
pour about half the jar of alfredo sauce (you will know how much you
like) & add 1 flavor packet only. I usually add garlic salt to any ramen
dish I make. Stir it up & add in the noodles & the pastrami strips.
Usually this heats the sauce, but you can nuke it for a few seconds if
not. Put the chicken breast on a plate, pour the noodles & sauce over
top, maybe sprinkle a little parmesan – then dig in with a knife & fork.
