Wagga Ramen

  • 1 pack of chicken ramen
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 half onion, sliced into thick chunks
  • 1 half carrot, thin sliced
  • 1 half broccoli crown, cut into medium pieces
  • 1 half can of water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 handful of fresh snow peas
  • soy sauce

Place 4 cups of water in a pot with tomato paste, oyster sauce, garlic, parsley, mushrooms, half of seasoning packet and a few shakes of soy sauce. When mixture comes to a boil, add noodles, water chestnuts and carrots. After a minute of cooking, add broccoli and onion. After three or four minutes, add snow peas, another shake of soysauce to taste and second half of seasoning packet. Turn off heat and let sit, stirring for a minute. Serve hot with both spoon and chopsticks.
