I’ve never tried this, or even considered it! Also, sorry for the long delay with no posts, I was attending the Great American Beer Fest in Denver, CO (okay, well not for the whole week, I’m just lazy too)

You’ve probably heard of this, but honey tastes really good in oriental ramen, sort of sweet n’ salty, vaguely pad thai-esque. I used two packets of honey I stole from Starbucks (ok, not really stole, they have them sitting out. But you can take them for free if cost is an issue), probably a couple teaspoons of honey total. This isn’t like second grade, when your best friend is telling you that he likes peanut butter / pepperoni / banana / mayonnaise sandwiches, and you’re like no way do you really eat that, that would taste terrible, it’s actually really good. I’m eating it right now.
Anyone else tried this one? I have some honey in my closet, but I may be out of oriental ramen

Hello, I’m Korean ~
Well ;
I’ve never eaten ramen with honey and I’ve never heard of it.
But someone said that is really taste good !
So believe that person says and try it !
I think it may be worth it
I’m also very anxious the taste of honey ramen
So I’ll try making ramen like that way
Have a good time with ramen ~
Sounds good. Damn, this is a good resource for money-starved students like myself. XD
Awesome site.
Yes. I especially like it in the duck flavored ‘faux ramen’ I have.
Great , sure to taste this and try this
WoW! I just tried this (twice) lol………its was supringsingly very very good. I boiled the water with seasoning, soy sauce, and hot sauce (tobasco)…..Added the noodles afterwards, cooked for a 3-5 minutes…..drained. And in a bowl, I drizzled Honey all around the bowl, dumped the noodles in it, and mixed it around until they glistened……(add more hot sauce if you like) it’s like a Sweet and Sour Ramen. simple and tasty indeed.
oops…. I meant Sweet and HOT. not sour.
I actually haven’t tried eating ramen with honey, but I have eaten it with Maple Syrup during some desperate times. It’s pretty good as long as you don’t add too much, just enough to give the noodles a light and even coat.
And mixing it with Hot Sauce is definetly a plus after I tried it, if you’re tempted adding the flavor packet will add a nice savory touch; but of course if you’d rather not deal with whatever MSG it may contain feel free to opt out.
tastes bad
Hi ^3^
just add a curiosity… in the PSP game Tales of Eternia there is a recipe for Honey Ramen jejejee here it is:
| Honey Ramen
| Required Ingredients – 1 Panyan
| 1 Cabbage
| 1 White Satay
| Description – A combination of noodles and secret soup.
| Restores minimal ally HP.
Hey! I tried the recipe and it was pretty great. I had a couple of alterations to it.
I boiled the ramen, and in a seperate container (I did it in a measuring glass) put the seasoning, two spoons of honey (tsp) and a couple of squirts of the oriental hot sauce from the resturant type thing. Then I got a spoon full of peanut butter and put it in. At this point it was pretty sticky so I dilluted it with alittle water and it turned out great.
I drained the noodles and then put some cut up turkey in the hot pan and put the sauce over it for a few seconds, took it off heat, put the noodles back in the pan and mixed it all together on the heat for a few seconds. Turned out great. I had to add a little more honey at the end but all in all pretty decent. =)
It’s amazing, a friend of mine and myself were talking about it, and she found this site, so we decided to try it, it was worth it. Go try it if you haven’t!
…Yeah I’m the one “Dat Latin Dude” is referring to.
I tried one pack of ramen (cooked then drained of its water) with a bit over a tablespoon of honey, about. It gives it a nice luster. Then I added some of the chicken flavored powder.
And it’s great
But that’s just from me… I’m too much of a honey fan.
Ohh one more thing you all should try: Cereal, milk, bananas (or other fruits?), and honey. I do it with chex cereal. It’s good with the honey.
And here’s something that I told my friend to try: Two slices of toast, banana slices, and honey. Basically, you put it together like a sandwich.
Hey, “Latin Guy”, how much honey did you put in?
Nobody’s curious about eating honey ramen? OMG! ._. It really is good.
Hey, “Dat Latin Guy”, when I get more we’ll eat it kk? Be good. No ramen till then. ^_^
