    Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of Chicken Ramen
  • 2-4 Handfuls of frozen Broccoli
  • 1 cup or so of Cheddar and Jack shredded cheese
  • A bit of Milk

Boil the Ramen and Broccoli. Then drain the water. Mix in the Chicken flavor. Mix in the cheese until it’s melted. Add Milk until it’s creamy to your liking.

There you have it. It tastes great, just like real Chicken Broccoli Casserole, and you don’t break the bank or risk the chance of salmonella.

The number one item in my last poll was a request for recipe categories. I have added the following categories:

  • Beef
  • Chicken
  • Dessert
  • Pork
  • Quick and Easy
  • Seafood/Fish
  • Soup
  • Vegetarian

Let me know if I should add any others (in the comments section). I do assume that as I read back through the old recipes I will figure out new categories…

While I am fixing all the categories, I am also pruning some of the recipes that dont live up to the modern standards of the site. For example, recipes that simply suggest using a double flavor packet, which is quite a drole idea.

    Ingredients:

  • 1 Can of Squash and Onions (you’ll find it with the canned veggies)
  • 1 packet of Lipton Cream of Chicken Cup-O-Soup mix
  • 1 block of Ramen noodles

Note from the RamenMaster: An interesting, yet simple recipe. Worth trying out, although personally I would substitute real squash and real onions, after sauteing for about 10 minutes in olive oil.

Pour the can of squash and onions, with packing water, into a medium size corning ware dish or glass bowl. Mash the squash and onions with a fork until the mixture is fairly thin. Heat this dish in the microwave until hot through and through. (Approximately 3-4 minutes depending on wattage of microwave.) In a separate bowl, mix the ramen noodles with Lipton Cream of chicken soup mix. Break the noodle block apart so that the pieces are rather small. Add enough water to cover the noodles and soup mix completely. Heat in the microwave until noodles are tender and soup mix has made a thick, creamy coating on noodles. (Approximately 3-4 minutes). In the larger bowl, add the ramen mix to the squash and onions, add a little more water if needed and stir well. Reheat the entire mixture for another 2-3 minutes, stir and enjoy!

    Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Ramen noodles any flavour
  • 1 cup of caramel
  • chopped nuts

Note from the Author: Yes, I know it sounds strange, but here are a couple out of my archives.

Take one pkg. of Ramen (use the packet for something else), boil and cook until tender, drain well. Meanwhile melt about a cup of caramel until soft and palaid. Using a stick (a old chopstick works well) twirl the noodles around it and coat the noodles on a stick in the caramel. Then, roll the whole thing in about a cup of chopped nuts, cool, and there.

Behold: Ramen on a stick.

Slice a good amount of green onions and set aside. Slice some baby carrots and celery paper thin and add to noodles as well as green onions. Dont worry about cooking the veggies, as long as they are real thin they will be just fine and lend some texture to the noodles. Place in bowl and enjoy.

Kids, Dont try this at home, but check out this contest that 5th Floor West AJ at Virginia Tech invented.

The Great Ramen Challenge

Ingredients:

  • 1 case any-flavor ramen (12 packages)
  • 24 cups water
  • Are you man enough for the Great Ramen Challenge?

Directions: You have 2 hours to eat one case of standard ramen (preparing each package using 2 cups of water). Good luck. May require stomach pumping.

Note from Adam: We’re poor college kids, so we practically live on ramen. Anyway, one day we were discussing how much ramen could possibly be consumed in one sitting. We thus came up with the Great Ramen Challenge: eat one case of ramen (made with 2 cups water per package) in under 2 hours. So far no one has succeeded, but here’s a picture of my friend after trying.
