  12. This Exists: Ramen Sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese Dipped in Cheese Sauce

Sometimes I drain the water from my ramen and sprinkle parmesean cheese and the seasoning packet on. Not sure about dipping the noodles into cheese sauce though, that seems a bit weird.

  14. Peanut Noodle Soup

i tried it i think i used a little to much peanut butter but it wasnt wat i was really looking for any ways. i was hoping it would be more of a combined taste but the ramen flavor packet and the peanut butter over powers all the other flavors

  15. Vegetarian or Not?

Cant find the spicy vegetable kind. Can anyone tell me where to get them in the New Haven, CT area? Any brand will do.

  16. MSG?

    P L E A S E ! L I S T E N U P !
While stationed in South Korea during the early 1970’s; I spoke with a Korean surgeon about MSG; and he explained to me: Recently (1973 or so) South Korean studies concluded that MSG is a chemical additive that makes crappy ingredients taste better. That is why MSG is added to many foods, because they start with the worst ingredients.

He went on to say also, that MSG causes a wide range of headaches for a large number of people from mild to migrain. It was also determined to be a carcinagen… can and does cause cancer.

I will not give the doctor’s name here; but he has excellent crededtials from Japan, Korea, Germany and France. He has also been on staff at Columbia University, New York and Mayo Clinic.

Please, if you wish to spout something in any blog on the net; get educated. Before you open your ugle keyboard, research the truth. MSG does NOT naturally occure in food, food processors PUT it in there intentionally.

Us the internet for what it was designed for. Its the cheapest information resource you will ever find. Maybe even the best education you’ll ever know. You could be light years ahead of the competition.

  17. Where Da Smack At?

It’s been years since I have been able to find Snack (formerly Smack) Ramen and it is STILL killing me! Every, single time I take a bite of the CRAPPY Top Ramen or Maruchan I shudder and immediately become nostalgic for my Snack brand. What I don’t understand is with it being so popular, HOW could they remove it from the market? I’m from Arkansas (now in MO being a military wife) and we used to buy it in MULTIPLE cases from Harvest Foods. It disappeared and eventually so did Harvest Foods. Picante Shrimp was my guilty pleasure along with every other flavor they had to offer. I just don’t understand it. My sister and I still gripe about it and it’s been at least 5 years since we were last able to find it. I hope that by some miracle it reappears on the market. Even if it cost more than the other brands I would NOT CARE. I would pay $10-$20 a case if I had to! That’s just how good they were and how much I loved them. Here it is almost 5 years after the 1st post on this page and it is still getting posts.. doesn’t that speak for the quality and popularity of these noodles???

  18. Sweet and Spicy Shrimp/Lime Ramen

It really is actually a nice helpful bit of information. So i am thankful which you shared this handy details along with us. Make sure you keep informed in this way. Thank you for sharing.

  19. Gluten Free Ramen?

The Kung FU rice noodle bowls that Lynne suggested are NOT gluten free. They have wheat flour AND MSG. However, the Thai Kitchen Instant Rice Noodle bowls advertise that they are gluten free. I know you can get those at places like Wal-mart and Vons.

  20. How Do You Cook Your Ramen?

I crush my ramen noodles into much smaller pieces and cook them normally. When they’re done, I drain almost all of the water so I just have cooked noodles with a little bit of water in the bottom of the bowl. Then I spread a few packets of Fire Sauce from Taco Bell and top it off with grated Parmesan cheese. Mix it all up and YUM!

    Fire Sauce.
    Grated Parmesan.

  21. Vegetarian or Not?

nissin hot and spicy super picante soup is veggie and really yummy

  22. Ramen World Record?

A convention that I work with, the Middle TN Anime Convention, hosts a Ramen Noodle Eating Contest every year. The people who compete eat a LOT of ramen – more than a “normal” person. The guy that runs the contest guesses about 50 packs per person. Yeah, per person. I know that sounds crazy. I didn’t say that they kept it all down. 🙂

You can see a view of it:

  23. How Do You Cook Your Ramen?

I like beef ramen. First I cook the noodles for a minute, to where they are softer but still firm. I add the seasoning provided with Sriracha chili sauce, fish sauce, beef paste, minced garlic, and bite sized meat (beef and ham are my favorite). I top my ramen with cilantro and scrambled egg.

  24. Easy Peanut Sauce Ramen Recipe

i recommend waiting to put the sugar after popping the bowl in the microwave. add much more than a teaspoon. i think it tastes a lot better sweet not so garlicky. 🙂 but anyway great recipe!

  25. Vegetarian or Not?

I just found Top Ramen Oriental today after 2 years of searching. I just moved back to my mom’s and they had it at H-E-B. They aren’t in every one, but hopefully they aren’t as rare as they seem. Maruchan Ramen does have animal products in all the flavors I’ve seen both in bag and in cup.
